Newbridge Recreation Reserve Camping
Located in the town of Newbridge just off the Wimmera Highway, Newbridge Recreation Reserve Camping is a low cost campsite maintained by the local towns people.
The camping area offers river frontage camping on the banks of the Loddon River and provides hot showers, new public toilets and a disabled toilet and shower. Showers are token operated. Camping fees and shower tokens are payable at the General Store and Newbridge Hotel. (source:www.loddon.vic.gov.au)
The camping area on a mostly dirt surface with trees for shade. No designated sites. The area is heavily shaded with trees so Sat TV may be difficult. A few camp spots should be okay for roof-top solar with sun for a good portion of the day. Suit big rigs. Area could be muddy when wet.
There are no designated sites at Newbridge Recreation Reserve Camping area but there is a lot of space which makes it great for big rigs. There are plenty of trees for shade but beware of falling branches. The area may become muddy in wet weather. There is a children’s playground not far from the camping area and the town is well within walking distance.
There is good mobile phone service and television reception here.
Dogs are welcome at this campsite but must be kept on a leash at all times and please be responsible!
