Packsaddle Creek Rest Area

Located right beside the Landsborough Highway 30km west of Barcaldine, the Packsaddle Creek Rest Area is a free short term campsite in the Barcaldine Region of Central West Queensland.

This rest area is a combined motorist and heavy vehicle rest area where trucks, motorists, and caravans can stop and take a break. It is very basic with little shade but it has easy access just off the highway.

Packsaddle Creek Rest Area has an undercover picnic table, toilets with access for those with a disability, tap water (not drinkable) and rubbish bins.

There is some mobile phone service here, but it will depend on your carrier.
Dogs are welcome at this campsite but please be responsible!

The maximum time limit for staying here is 20 hours.
