Gungal Rest Area
Located 23km southeast of Merriwa and 11km northwest of Sandy Hollow on the eastern side of the Golden Highway, Gungal Rest Area, also know as Private Jackson Park, is a free overnight camp area just south the locality of Gungal.
*It is no longer clear if this rest area can be used for overnight stays. Please obey any signs at the site regarding length of stays.
There is not a lot of shade here but it is a drive in drive out site so would be suitable for most sized rigs.
Facilities include:

- Rubbish Bins
Dogs are welcome here and this is limited mobile phone reception. The maximum time limit for staying here is 24 hours.
