Freemans Camping Area

Freemans Camping Area is a low cost campsite located in the Munmorah State Recreation Area just off Birdie Beach Drive in the Central Coast Region of New South Wales.

The area is a grassy, landscaped campground that has ample space with designated sites for caravans and trailers as well as spots for tent camping.

Freemans Camping Area has many sites that are shaded by the branches of established trees, and there are covered barbecue areas. The long, sandy stretch of Birdie Beach is just a short walk from the campground – a leisurely walk along the beach is a great start to the day.

The amenities block and cooking shelter are in great condition and provide good facilities. There is an emergency-only phone near the amenities block. (source: www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au)

Fantastic fishing and surfing spots as well as bushwalks are also close at hand. And if you’re there during the winter months, you might just see whales as they make their way along the coast.

Bookings are required and need to be made at least one day before your planned stay.

Please note that a vehicle entry fee is payable when using this park. You will also need a license if you intend to do any fishing during your visit. (source:www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au

There is some mobile phone service here, but it will depend on your carrier.
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at this campsite.

The maximum time limit for staying here is 21 days.
