First Settlers Park Rest Area

Located in the small township of Benarkin just off the D’aguilar Highway the First Settlers Park Rest Area is a free overnight campsite in the South Burnett Region of the Wide Bay Burnett area in Queensland.

This large grassy rest area has plenty of space and offers clean, well maintained facilities. The hot showers cost $2.00 and power is available via a coin operated meter box but only if you camp close to the undercover BBQ area. The number of campers that can plug into the power is limited and you will get about three hours of power for $2.00.

First Settlers Park Rest Area also has a kids playground, undercover picnic tables and BBQ’s. You can pick up milk and basic supermarket supplies at the Benarkin General Store which is directly across the road from the park. They also sell fuel, ice and act as a Postal Agent.

There is good mobile phone service and television reception here.
Dogs are welcome at this campsite but only in the camping area. Please be responsible!

The maximum time limit for staying here is 20 hours.
