Cooper Creek Camping Area

Located 10km north east of Windorah on the Diamantina Developmental Road (Quilpie Windorah Road section), Cooper Creek Camping Area is a free campsite in the Barcoo Region of Central West Queensland.

The Cooper Creek Camping Area has plenty of room with individual bush camping sites along both sides of the Creek upstream and downstream of the bridge and there are toilets on the east side of the creek. Most sites overlook the creek, offer good shade and are large enough for big rigs.

The camping area is a dry access only site for conventional vehicles.

Cooper Creek is a great spot for canoeing and fishing and is a lovely, peaceful place to stop and relax for a few days. Open fires are OK here, but you need to bring your own firewood.

Dogs are welcome at this campsite but please be responsible!
