Carcoar Dam Camping Area

Carcoar Dam Camping Area is a free campsite located 15km north east of Mandurama and 12km south west of Blayney on Cacoar Dam Road (1 km from the Mid-Western Hwy) in the Blayney Region of Central West New South Wales.

The camping area offers grassy sites and shady trees overlooking the lake. It is a truly beautiful place but, as evidenced by the wind generator on the hill opposite the camp area, it can get quite windy at times. The ground can be a little uneven in places so choose your site carefully and remember to take your leveling chocks.

Carcoar Dam Camping Area is situated in an attractive setting, providing an ideal site for many types of outdoor recreation. Water sports such as swimming, power boating, sailing, sail boarding and water skiing can all be enjoyed on the dam. Fishing is another popular activity and the dam is stocked with golden perch, trout and murray cod. (source: www.blayney.nsw.gov.au)
