Located in the town of Kilcoy on the D’Aguilar Highway, Kilcoy ANZAC Memorial Park is a free short term campsite.
This is a great place to stay for an overnight stop or stay for up to 72 hours and explore the area. There are 4 powered sites here as well as a brand new amenities block with hot showers and toilets. There is a bitumen drive way into the park but the camping surface is grass. There are some trees here that provide some shade and a couple of picnic tables as well. The only issue with the park is that there is a large bat population living in the trees near the creek next to the camping area and they can be quite noisy at times. There can also be traffic noise due to the closeness of the highway.
Kilcoy ANZAC Memorial park is well maintained by the local Somerset Council and until recently there was a small charge to stay here but since upgrading the facilities the honesty box has been removed and it is now free. Located at the eastern entrance to the town on the northern side of the highway, it is only metres from the business and shopping area making it an easy walk to the two local pubs, a supermarket and a variety of other stores.
Dogs are welcome at this campsite but please be responsible!
There is some mobile phone service (depending on your carrier) and television reception here.
The maximum time limit for staying here is 20 hours in any 7 day period.
