Wang Wauk Rest Area

Wang Wauk Rest Area is a free short term campsite located 9km south of Nabiac or 37km north of Bulahdelah on the Pacific Highway in the Mid Coast Region of New South Wales.

Wang Wauk Rest Area has a sealed surface and is right beside the highway on the north bound side but is accessible from either side. It is a large area which makes it suitable for all sized rigs. It is a very popular rest stop that also operates as a Driver Reviver centre during holiday periods. It can be quite busy and because of its closeness to the road, can also be quite noisy but overall it is a good place to stop, break your journey and have a rest.

There is some mobile phone service (depending on your carrier) and television reception here.
Dogs are welcome at this campsite but please be responsible!

The maximum time limit for staying here is less than 24 hours.

Please Note:
The maximum permissible stay in a rest area is not specified as motorist’s needs are different, with varying levels of fatigue, at varying times of night and day. Some may need to stop for a few hours until they are ready to continue their journey safely.
Rest areas are not designed to be camping grounds or caravan parks.
Using rest areas for multiple overnight stays as part of a planned itinerary is not in keeping with their intended purpose and reduces the availability of space for motorists needing a break before continuing on their journey.
