Peach Trees Camping Area

Located 43km north west of Kilcoy in the Jimna State Forest, Peach Trees Camping Area is low cost campsite maintained by the Queensland Government Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sort and Racing.

Peach Trees Camping Area is situated beside Yabba Creek in open forest and is surrounded by large native plantations with pockets of natural forest. The camping surface is grassed and there are no defined sites but there are barbecues and fire rings dotted through out the area. Peach Trees Camping Area is suitable for tent camping, caravan, camper trailers and campervans and because of it’s large area is particularly suitable for large groups. Open fires are only allowed in the barbecues and fire rings and only when there are no fire bans for the area. You will need to bring your own clean, untreated firewood, such as mill off-cuts. Fuel stoves are recommended for cooking and you will need to bring drinking water. Please note that generators are not allowed to be used in this area. There is a pay phone is located outside the toilet and shower block.

As with all camping areas maintained by NPRSR, permits are required to camp here and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite at all times. Bookings can be made onlineover-the-counter or by phoning 13 74 68.

The access road to Peach Trees Camping area is roughly 1.4km north west of the turn off to the small town of Jimna on Kilcoy-Murgon Road. The access road is unsealed, as are parts of Kilcoy-Murgon road north of the Jimna turnoff but it is easily accessed by conventional vehicles in good weather. (source: www.nprsr.qld.gov.au)

The is one separately defined Wheelchair Friendly camp site situated within Peach Trees camping area that has a capacity of four people and is suitable for tent camping beside your car, camper trailers or campervans. The surface of this campsite has grass for your tent and compacted gravel for the fire ring, table and tap.

There is some mobile phone service here, but it will depend on your carrier.
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at this campsite.
