Bigriggen Park

Located 10km west of Rathdowney on Bigriggan Rd, Bigriggen Park Bush Camping and Caravaning is a privately owned and managed Camping Ground on a Water Reserve which is leased from the Queensland State Government.

Only an hour and a half from both the Gold Coast and Brisbane, Bigriggen Park is far enough to “get away”, yet close enough to spend less time traveling and more time enjoying. Bigriggen Park is perfect for that weekend escape! Relax and unwind amid peaceful surroundings and natural wonders just waiting to be explored.

Bigriggen Park Bush Camping and Caravaning is set on 100 acres of high hilltops and gentle river flats, within close proximity to National Parks and bordered by the Logan River and Burnett Creek. Whether you are a family or a couple looking to spend quality time together, Bigriggen Park is the place to come. Bigriggen Park offers level, grassy, non-powered camping with plenty of shade, without the restriction of small designated sites. Easy access for caravans, buses, motorhomes etc.

There is an abundance of wildlife including tree frogs, goannas, parrots, possums, bandicoots, wallabies and the elusive platypus.
Fishing is also possible in the river that borders the camping ground. If you require action, there’s plenty to keep you occupied, including bush walking, pleasure canoeing (BYO), cycling (BYO), swimming, water sports at nearby dams, exploring the Scenic Rim and more …. there’s something for everyone! Or simply relax and let nature immerse you.

Our amenities block, has a Dump Point, flushing toilets, hand basins & hot showers that cost $1.00 for five (5) minutes of hot water.
Our kiosk is open each day from 8 am – 6 pm to provide you with everyday items such as bread, milk, ice, soft drinks, ice creams, firewood etc. (source: www.bigriggen.com.au)
